It is with deep sorrow that I inform you of the passing of one of our own. MacMerc writer and friend, Digital Bill Douthett was found dead in his apartment earlier today. Details are sketchy at this time but it is believed he died of natural causes.

I had never actually met Bill face to face, but got to know him first on the Geek Culture Forums and then on chat. We developed a very close friendship online and had teamed up many times on his Wizards of Technology podcast and on our side project The Spoilers. His passing is a shock to me that is difficult to express.

He is dearly missed.
