The Mac web is abuzz this morning with the news that Linus Torvalds, creator of the Linux operating system for the Intel x86 platform, has claimed in the Linux Kernel Mailing List that "My main machine these days is a dual 2GHz G5 (aka PowerPC 970) - it's physically a regular Apple Mac, although it obviously only runs Linux, so I don't think you can call it a Mac any more ;)"

I guess the Mac faithful are just glad to find that Torvalds chose a Mac over a PC to run his experiments in Linux. Torvalds claims there is no favoritism in the choice only that there are enough people testing Linux on the x86 side and, well, he is a self-described technology whore.
